No offence but your not goingto get a good rb25 motorset for 1800 exspecially from Nick. If your goin to do it do it right and save up to do it right the first time. It just seems
your trying to squeeze what you want into too tight of a budget

you are incredibly wrong...and why are you back on here? i banned you like 2 months ago.

i digress..

you can pick up a rb25 anywhere for 1500-2000 and they will be good engines. and how are you going to talk trash about a forum vendor like that? 2nd of all, your comment about the "noseweight" of a RB is farfetched. ive driven and slid 240s with KA, SR and RB and there is no noticeable difference in noseweight. now if you want to make an arguement about center of gravity with an RB ill be more than happy to back that up because thats a more reasonable arguement for a street car

I'm not talkig trash on Nick, his engines are the best you can buy and are handpicked not just ordered over a computer which I completely respect. I'm simply stating that he is not goingto get an rb25det motorset from him for $1800, which is the truth. And your taking a risk at some of the other importers because of the fact that they don't go handpicked they're motors and a compressiontest doesn't always mean it's good. If you had also read I said that the noseweight is not my cup of tea as my personal opinion I can feel the difference between the motors and the handling. Also stated that if hade put a good amount of thought behind his Idea he should go for it because they are good motors when done right (pretty much all Nissan motors). Don't be so quick to judge thinking I'm trying to flame this kid I just simply want him to make sure Hejaz everything covered and does it right so it doesn't lead to problems for him later. I didnt think there was harm in that at all but I guess I'm mistaken.

i mean i got you on that. but it came off as talking trash about a vendor and trying to flame a member for wanting to RB swap.

Lets Plan A Robbery...
Besides allll that....i say do it bro, if you can afford and are very sure and confident on the swap. GO FOR IT. i have the same plans. but ima go KA-T first cause it grew on me when i got invited to 240family by nick. so ima do KA-T so i can at least experience AND it would be great to play around with while i save for RB25. cause like he said you should have a 1000 or more if you got it for any unexpected pop ups...my guess ill have ka-t by mid summer. and when winter comes let my s14 sit get the RB dropped and have work done to it and the car itself. that way it doesnt kill me not driving it. Ive also thought about doing the KA-T, and saving all winter and get another S14 or S13 Coupe with Silvia front. after getting that getting an rb25 and putting it into one or the other. ethier way im doing one of though plans.

so im with you on it......id like to see you do it.

Ok so basically here's my plan..
I called EII about buying the motor from them with labor I got an estimate of like 4200 for the the over all. But after talking with Eric and Shawn i decided i would drop the motor in myself and change the driveshaft, mounts, fuel pump, rad etc. since that's not too bad.
Now as for the wiring i would get that done professionally and spare myself the headache..
So.. once I'm closer to having the funds raised in the next three months i'll be getting more estimates but as for right now I'm going to set my goals towards raising them with getting another job this summer and eliminate money as an issue.
I get out of school in May and Wawa is paying me pretty decent for two nights a week so
Let the journey begin.
