question about motor mounts

as we all know i have an rb20. and as most of you know the rb20 sits very low in the engine bay do to mount location. so my question is, is there anyway i could raise up the motor (safely of course) to avoid any further issues with ripping my oil pan open. i was thinking i could possibly stack washers under the mount, but idk if that would work or be safe. any ideas or opinions? i want to lower the car down more since i still have a lot of wheel gap, but i cant due to the fact that my oil pan sits so low to the ground already, and the fact that i would rip my downpipe off since it too sits below my frame rail.

HI! <3
PBM makes a skid plate....possibility

I wouldn't stack washers on your mounts. Just doesn't sound safe. Try asking any of the RB guru's and see what they do?

well i mean i can make a skid plate im not worried about that. i just wanted to raise the motor up so i could lower the car down to eliminate my wheel gap without ripping my downpipe off. and yea washers does sound unsafe, but it was the only thing i could think of. other than custom making solid mounts :/

as do i. the only other option is drop my left nut for nismo mounts. more than likely i will end up having to custom make mounts, but im trying to get by on an easy ticket for a little bit until i get a job

I am thinking solid mounts. you can make them whatever height you want and they cost about $60

^thats what im thinking too scott. i can get hugh to custom make me some when i have the money, but i dont know if i really want to run solid mounts on the street. i could care less about driveability, im more concerned with something breaking.

solid mounts are pretty good. the ones I have arent true solid mounts. they soften up a little bit after awhile.

oh if i get mounts made they will be all metal. it would basically just be a bracket holding my motor.
